The MIAA baseball all-conference teams were announced today and two Bulldogs received an award. Sophomores Adam Davis (Fulton, Mo./Fulton) and Josh Rubin (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) both received honorable mention honors.

Davis, a second-baseman, was the spark at the top of the Bulldogs' lineup, leading the team with a .325 batting average, 32 runs, 53 hits, three triples, a .405 on-base percentage and 20 stolen bases. In the latest MIAA statistics, he was ranked fifth in the league with 0.43 stolen bases per game. He also hit seven doubles on the season, drove in 15 runs and had a .949 fielding percentage. Davis played in all 46 games during the season and hit safely in 35 of those contests and reached base in 41 games.

Rubin, who played left-field for the Bulldogs, batted third or fourth for much of the season for Truman. He end up just percentage points behind Davis with a .325 batting average and he led the team with five home runs, 29 RBIs and a .497 slugging percentage and tied for the team-high with 10 doubles. He also recorded 25 runs, 51 hits, a .383 on-base percentage and was a perfect eight-of-eight in stolen base attempts. Rubin led the team with 17 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI contests.

The Bulldog baseball team ended their season on Tuesday after a split with Missouri Western. The Bulldogs won three of their final four MIAA games and had a conference record of 10-20. The ten conference wins was the second-best in school history, just one short of the record. Truman ended the year with a 10-36 overall mark.
