Two Transfers Join Truman Football Team

Truman head football coach John Ware has announced the addition of two transfers to the team's roster, beginning this month.

Billy Bundy, a transfer from Clark College in Vancouver, Wa., and Michael Harris from Phoenix College (Ariz.) join the Bulldogs this semester.

Bundy attended Clark this past fall, but did not participate in football. He went to Battle Ground High School in Vancouver, where he had back to back 1,000-yard rushing seasons. While in high school, he earned all-conference honors as a junior and senior, and was a two-time McDonald Player of the week and KVAN radio student-athlete of the month.

Bundy graduated with honors and was a Washington Interscholastic Academic award winner. He played running back, receiver, cornerback, linebacker and safety in high school. For the Bulldogs, Bundy will either play running back or linebacker, according to his progression in spring practices.

Harris lettered two seasons at Phoenix as an offensive lineman and earned second-team all-conference accolades this past season as a tackle.

The Chandler, Ariz., native is a graduate of East Valley High School where he was a first-team all-region and second-team all-state pick as a senior. Harris was also named honorable mention all-region as a junior.

Truman suffered it first losing season since 1991, going 4-7 in 1999 and was 4-5 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, tying for fifth-place.
