Truman Adds Jefferson City Signee To Fall Football Roster

Head football coach John Ware announced that Rusty Wood, of Jefferson City High School, has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Bulldogs beginning in the fall. Wood is a 6-5, 225-pound offensive lineman.

The Bulldogs added two transfers at semester to bring the total number of newcomers in the fall to 26. Five of the 11 Missouri recruits are from the Northeast part of the state, while six are from Illinois and seven are from Iowa. The two transfers are from Washington state and Arizona.

The Truman Bulldogs were 4-7 overall last year and 4-5 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, finishing in fifth-place. Coach Ware completed his fifth season as head coach of the Bulldogs and is 30-24 during that time and is 30-15 in the MIAA.
