Truman Football Squad Signs David Winslow II And Ben Runzer from Missouri
Head football coach John Ware has announced two more additions to the Truman Bulldog football squad. David Winslow II from Pattonville High School in St. Louis will attend Truman beginning in the fall. He is a 6-0, 190-pound defensive back and the son of Truman Hall of Famer and Bulldog basketball standout David Winslow.
In addition, Ben Runzer from Palmyra High School, a 6-4, 225-pound defensive end, will also join the team.
The Bulldogs added two transfers this past January to bring the total number of newcomers in the fall to 35. Seventeen recruits are from Missouri, seven are from Illinois and Iowa and two are from California. The transfers are from Washington state and Arizona.
The Truman Bulldogs were 4-7 overall last year and 4-5 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, finishing in fifth-place. Coach Ware completed his fifth season as head coach of the Bulldogs and is 30-24 during that time and is 30-15 in the MIAA.
