Truman Men's Basketball Announces Another Recruit To Its 2003 Class

Truman men's basketball head coach Jack Schrader has announced that Grant Agbo (St. Louis, Mo./McCluer HS) has signed to play for the Bulldogs next year. He joins the 2003 recruiting class of Andy Calmes, Austin Kirby and Adam Ogle who all signed earlier this spring.

Agbo, a 6-6, 245 lbs. forward, is the all-time leading scorer at McCluer High School. Last year, he averaged 19 points and nine rebounds a game and was a McDonald's All-American nominee. He was named to the 5A first-team all-state in both his junior and senior seasons and was also a first-team all-metro selection. He was twice named player of the year in the suburban north conference.

"Grant is an outstanding player that can play any of the frontline positions," said Schrader. "He gives us a very versatile and mobile big body that can play inside and outside. He obviously has been one of the best players in St. Louis and Missouri during his career and we are happy he has decided to continue his basketball career here at Truman."

Truman finished the 2002-03 season with a 7-20 overall record and will return many of the key players from that team including all-conference forward Matt Beran and five players from last year's recruiting class, all of which contributed during their freshmen campaigns.
