Truman Men's Basketball Will Be On Display On Saturday At Its Annual Alumni Game

The 2003-04 Truman men's basketball team will be in action on Saturday night at the Bob Carlson Alumni game, which starts at 7:30 p.m. in Pershing Arena. There will be no admission charge for the contest.

This year's Bulldog squad has eight returning players, led by seniors Matt Beran and Aaron Mueller. Two transfers and four freshmen are added to the mix as Truman looks to continue its improvement it started last season.

All three of last year's seniors, Jiri Mikl, Bret Maxwell and Jeff Nepple, are expected to play in the alumni game. Several members from the 1999 Truman Final Four team are also expected to play in Brian Brown, Chris Foulk, Andy Guethle, Mike Peterson, Jason Ramthun and Jason Reinberg. Other alumni expected to participate are Mark Breckenridge, Dan Mosley, Jimmy O'Donnell and Tim Reuschel. Ben Pitney and Mark Sanders will coach the Bulldog Alumni.

The alumni game is named after Bob Carlson, the long-time Bulldog radio announcer who passed away earlier this year. Carlson called Truman football and basketball games for 38 years and is inducted into both the Truman and Missouri Basketball Hall of Fame.

Truman will travel to Southeast Missouri for an exhibition game on Nov. 6 and will play a home exhibition match on Nov. 10 against Dreambuilders. The regular season begins on Nov. 15 when the Bulldogs host Quincy at 7:30 p.m. in Pershing Arena.
