Men's Basketball Team Announces Addition of Nathan Zondag
The Truman State University men's basketball team has added another player for the 2002-03 season, head coach Jack Schrader announced today.
Nathan Zondag (Randolph, Wis.), a 6-8 and 230 pound center, has signed on with Truman, a member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and NCAA Division II.
Zondag averaged 12 points and eight rebounds per game over the last two years for Randolph High School. In 2002, he helped his team to a 25-2 record and a Wisconsin Class 4 state championship.
"He comes from a championship program, has good size and is a solid player," Schrader said. "He's a solid, wide-body type of player and a very hard worker."
Zondag is the sixth member of the Bulldogs' 2002 recruiting class, joining center Garret Grimm (Macomb, Ill.), forward Gavin Welker (Farmington, Ill.), wings Ryan Welker (Farmington, Ill.) and Derek Lindsey (Eureka, Mo.), and point guard Chip Sodemann (St. Louis/Parkway West).
