Truman (6-17, 2-13 MIAA): The Bulldogs come into Saturday's game looking to make a move in the race for what will probably be the final MIAA Postseason Tournament berth. A Bulldog win would put them in a tie with Emporia State, the team's chief rival for the final berth in the postseason tournament later this month. The Hornets host Pittsburg State and Central Missouri to round out the regular season schedule. The Bulldogs host Missouri-Rolla and travel to Pittsburg State before the regular season ends. Missouri-Rolla is tied with Truman at 2-13 in the league.
The Bulldogs are also hoping to stop a seven-game losing streak, which continued on Wednesday night with a 72-45 loss at No. 19 Northwest Missouri. Truman had averaged 70 points over its previous three games, but struggled from the field and lapsed back into its offensive funk, scoring under 50 points for the fifth time this year.
The Bulldogs had won three of the last four meetings with Emporia State entering their matchup earlier this year. Emporia has not swept the season series since 1996-97.
Brown in Exclusive Company: Senior forward Brian Brown (Centralia, Mo.) is just the seventh Bulldog since 1958 (when Truman's rebounding records began) to have accumulated 1,000 points and 500 rebounds for a career. Emporia State (9-14, 3-12 MIAA): The Hornets are coming off of their third MIAA win of the season, as they defeated Southwest Baptist 59-51 on Tuesday night in Bolivar. All three of ESU's conference wins have come on the road.

He has six double-doubles and has scored in double-digits in 22 of 23 games this year.
Junior guard Shawn Kinder is the only other Hornet to average double-digits in the scoring column, averaging 10.4 points. He's ESU's most accurate three-point shooter (.386, 34-88).
Junior forward Chad Tegtmeier (8.9 ppg) is the Hornets' top free throw shooter (.803) and has reached double-digits in six of his last seven games.
