Men's Cross Country Finishes Tied For Second Over the Weekend

Despite its top two runners taking the weekend off, the Truman men's cross country still finished in a tie for second-place out of 15 teams at the Border States Championships on Saturday in Edwardsville, Ill. The Bulldogs recorded 90 points, tying with SIU-Edwardsville and finishing behind Emporia State who had 57 points.

Andy Person led the team with a seventh-place overall finish, finishing the 8k course in a time of 26:27. Brad Peter and Pat Boyle were second and third on the team. Peter was 19th overall with a time of 26:57 and Boyle was 23rd with a time of 27:03. Ryan French came in 28th with a time of 27:11 and Trey Robinson was right behind him in 29th with a time of 27:16.

The women's team was orginally schedule to run in the same meet but decided to take an off-weekend instead.

Both cross country squads will be off until Oct. 26 when Truman runs in the MIAA Championships in Joplin, Mo.
