15 Bulldog Cross Country Runners Named to MIAA Honor Roll
The MIAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll for men's and women's cross country was released today and 15 Truman runners were among the list.
The men's squad had nine athletes named to the honor roll including Alan Heincker, Matt Helbig and Andy Person who each earned MIAA all-conference honors with a top 10 finish in the conference meet back on Oct. 26.
The Bulldogs women's squad had six athletes on the list including Leah Zidon, Dani Rawlings and Jennifer Tesmer, three of the top Truman runners this season.
Student-athletes are named to the squad under the following criteria: 1) The student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 or better at the qualifying institution; 2) The student-athlete must have at least two terms of attendance at the member school, excluding summer sessions; 3) The student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior in athletic eligiblity; 4) Student-athletes inactive due to redshirt or hardship qualification are not eligible.
Both cross country squads will be in action this weekend at the South Central Regional Championships in Warrensburg, Mo.
