Short-Handed Men's Cross Country Team Finished 13th over the Weekend
Truman men's cross country team was missing several of their top runners last Saturday, leading to the team finishing 13th at the Border States Invitational.
Freshman Pete Schaefer (Fenton, Mo./St. Louis U.) led the team after finishing the 8,000-meter race in 27:06, good for 42nd place overall. Sophomore Eli Klimek (Platte City, Mo./Platte County) was 51st with a time of 27:16. Junior Jon Carl Rosario (St. Louis, Mo./St. Mary's) came in 67th with a mark of 27:40.
Other Bulldogs in the top 100 among the 213 runners were juniors Chris Elledge (Florissant, Mo./McCluer North) and Trey Robinson (Chesterfield, Mo./Lafayette). Elledge was 89th overall with a time of 28:09 and Robinson was 97th with a time of 28:20.
Truman will be in action again on Oct. 25 when it hosts the MIAA Championship meet.
