Men's Cross Country Competes At Notre Dame Invitational
The Truman State University men's cross country team was the second-highest finishing Division II team on Friday at the Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, Ind.
Truman, which had won four straight meets to start the season, finished 14th overall but was topped only by Adams State (Colo.) (eighth place) among non-Division I competition. The Bulldogs finished with a team score of 402 and were led by junior Andy Doering (Florissant, Mo./McCluer North), who finished 39th overall with a time of 25:02. Juniors Ben Rosario (St. Louis/SLUH) and Matt Helbig (Fenton, Mo./Rockwood Summit) finished 78th and 90th overall, with times of 25:34 and 25:49, respectively.
Stanford University won the meet with a team score of 23, while Arizona was second with 116.
This was the Bulldogs' final meet before the MIAA Cross Country Championships, which are set for Oct. 21 in Warrensburg, Mo.
