Bulldogs Finish Third at Central Regional
Central Missouri and Washburn both shaved at least 10 shots off their first round scores and the Truman men's golf team could not keep pace as it fell to third-place in final round action of the Central Regional Fall Invitational. It was still a strong showing for the Bulldogs, however, as they shot a two-day score of 307-306=613.
Austin George shot a 74 on Tuesday and finished with a 151, good for a fifth-place tie and just four shots off the leader. Jake Mann and Lou Dersch each shot a 77 on the final day while T.J. Erhard and Jason Bertram shot 78s. Mann, Erhart and Dersch all had top 20 finishes in the tournament. Mann was tied for eighth (153), Erhart was in 13th place (154) and Dersch was tied for 14th (155). Bertram ended with a 159 which placed him in a tie for 27th.
The Truman men's golf team shot a 307 during the first round of the Central Regional and led the event by two shots.
