Three Bulldog Golfers Are In the Top 20 At the MIAA Tournament
The Bulldog's men's golf team, ranked sixth in the region, finished its regular season on Tuesday at the MIAA Tournament in Lawrence, Kan. Truman finished fifth at the event and ended the year sixth overall in the MIAA standings. The Bulldogs shot a 54-hole score of 924. Missouri Southern won the MIAA Tournament with a score of 902, but the Lions fell short in overcoming Washburn for the MIAA title.
Austin George and Lou Dersch both shot team-high scores of 231 that were good for 12th place. Jason Bertram tied for 15th after shooting a 233. T.J. Erhart was 28th overall with a score of 241 and Jake Mann tied for 29th at the MIAA Tournament after carding a 242. Missouri Southern's Kyle Long took medalist honors at the conference meet with a score of 902.
Truman will likely advance next to the NCAA Super Regional Tournament which will be held on May 5-7 in Bolivar, Mo.
