Men's Golf Finishes Eighth At The Second MIAA Event Of The Year

The Truman men's golf team could not improve on its first-round score, shooting a 326 on the final day of the Southwest Baptist Invitational. That score gave them a two-round total of 647 which placed the team in eighth in the second MIAA event of the year. The Bulldogs are now in sixth-place in the conference standings after the two fall MIAA events.

Jake Mann shot a 79 for the second straight day and finished tied for 26th with a 158. Austin George had the biggest improvement, shooting an 80 on Tuesday, four shots better than his first-round score. George ended the tournament in 33rd place with a 164. Jason Bertram shot a 84 on Tuesday and was 30th overall with a two-round score of 162. T.J. Erhart shot a 82-83=165 to tie for 34th-place finish while Lou Dersch shot a 82-86=168 and was 36th overall.

Southwest Baptist won its own tournament with a 600 and Dusty Smith of Southwest Baptist won the individual title with a 74-71=145.
