Truman Men's Golf Closes their Fall 2004-05 Season
The Truman men's golf team ended their fall season competing at the Pittsburg State Invitational earlier this week. The Bulldogs finished sixth overall with a final team score of 631. Washburn, the defending MIAA champions, won the event with a two-day total of 588.
The tournament was a MIAA scoring event and the Bulldogs finished fifth among conference schools. After two MIAA events, Truman is tied for fifth in the standings.
Truman's Ausin George (Wichita, Kan./Andover) was in first place after the first-round after a career-best round of 70. He shot an 78 on day two of the event, dropping back to sixth-place with a 148.
Jason Bertram (Manchester, Mo./Parkway South) and Adam Clatterbuck (Topeka, Kan./Washburn Rural) were among a group of players tied for 30th place with a score of 160. Rounding out the Bulldog squad was Mike Spaulding (Littleton, Colo./Aprapahoe) and Andy Crossett (Liberty, Mo./Liberty). Spaulding tied for 36th with a 163 and Crossett came in 47th with a 173.
