Men's Golf Finishes Seventh At Missouri Western
The Truman State University men's golf squad took seventh place out of 15 teams on Monday and Tuesday at the Missouri Western State College Invitational in St. Joseph, Mo. The Bulldogs carded a team score of 650 (321-329) for the tournament.
Senior J.R. Christensen (Glenville, Ill./Glenbrook South) led the 'Dogs with a two-day score of 159 (77-82), tying for 19th overall. Junior Justin Brewer (Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester) finished with a 162 (82-80).
Central Missouri State University won the tournament with a score of 601, outdistancing second-place University of North Dakota, which carded a 613 total.
The men's golf team will be at the Washburn University (Kan.) Invitational next Monday and Tuesday. That tournament is the first Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association designated event of the spring season.
