No. 22 Men's Soccer Begins Six-Game Homestand Sunday

Truman (4-3-0): The Bulldogs triumphed last weekend in Indiana, beating St. Joseph's 4-2 and crushing Oakland City 6-2.
Truman jumped up two spots in the national rankings this week, coming in at No. 22 on the Top 25 NSCAA list.
After completing last weekend's road trip, the 'Dogs return home for a six-game home-stand
Truman won its only home game to date 2-0 over Southern Indiana in the season-opener. A scheduled home game with Christian Brothers (Tenn.) on Sept. 22 was moved to Nov. 10.
Truman vs. St. Joseph's: At the 40-minute mark, the 'Dogs drew first blood when freshman Mike Boyle (St. Louis/CBC) scored on goalie Hector Soto, with an assist from freshman Martin Clayes (Perth Scotland/St. Columbus-Napier Univ.). Five minutes later junior Ricky Vigil (Crestwood, Mo./SLUH) would make his mark unassisted. Freshman forward Lars Pottgiesser (Hattingen, Germany/Gymnasium Waldstrasse) gave the 'Dogs a 3-1 lead heading into half time. In the second period freshman Jared Atwood (Lee's Summit, Mo./Lee's Summit North) sealed the deal for the 'Dogs on a penalty kick, putting them ahead 4-2.
Truman vs. Oakland City: Freshman forward Sean Birrell (Perth, Scotland/Univ. of Sterling) gave the 'Dogs an early lead with an assist from freshman Geoff Brengle (Arnold, Mo./Fox High School). Twenty minutes later, sophomore Brenton Freeman (Urbandale, Iowa/Urbandale) would put one on the board with another assist from Brengle. Late in the first period, Vigil put one in from Pottgiesser. Oakland came out strong in the second and was able to put one past the 'Dogs. Two minutes later, however, Vigil scored again, this time from freshman Paul Link (Prairie Village, Kan./ Rockhurst). Later, Clayes would tally a goal on Austin Wiggins with an assist from Pottgiesser. After Oakland scored again, Pottgiesser would take aim and put with Clayes returning the favor by getting the assist.
Indianapolis (2-6-2): Last weekend, the Greyhounds also beat St. Joseph's, 3-1. Freshman forward Eric Hance leads the team with six points and three goals. Senior defender Tim Kershaw is second with five points and two goals. Hance and Kershaw each have a game winning goal. Senior Paul Rogers, who has seen the most time in goal has a .603 save percentage, making 38 saves.
Series Record: The 'Dogs put their series record on the line, having beaten the Greyhounds in all three encounters, including the last meeting in game two last year, 4-0.
Coaches Records: Into his fourth season as head coach of the Bulldogs, Alf Bilbao has a record of 58-22-7 (.707).
Greyhound coach Bob Kouril has entered his sixth season with the team. During this time he as accumulated a 46-53-4 record.
