Men's Soccer Player Ricky Vigil Named First-Team Academic All-District

For the second season in a row, Truman men's soccer player Ricky Vigil has been named to the academic all-district first-team as selected by CoSIDA. The senior forward has a 3.72 GPA and is an accounting major.
On the field, Vigil has started every game for the second-ranked Bulldog soccer team and has helped the team's offense rank 25th in the country in scoring. He is tied for third on the team with seven goals on the year and is third with 17 points. He has two game-winning goals, including one of the biggest goals of the season in overtime against Colorado School of Mines.
In his career, Vigil has twice been named to the MIAA commissioner's academic honor roll.
The Truman men's soccer team, currently 18-0-0, will look to put the finishing touches on a perfect season on Saturday when it faces Missouri Southern at 2 p.m. at the Truman Soccer Park.
