Bulldogs Tie Missouri-St. Louis 1-1

The Truman Men's Soccer team outshot their opponents 24-12 but the scoreboard read 1-1 at the end of a double overtime game against Missouri-St. Louis on Wednesday night.

The Bulldogs struck first with a goal nine minutes into the second half by junior Geoff Brengle (Arnold, Mo./Fox) off a deflected shot from freshman Josh Weir (Olathe, Kan./Olathe South). The Rivermen answered with 18 minutes left to play on a goal by Timmy Seller.

Truman had four shots in the overtime periods compared to the two by Missouri-St. Louis.

The Bulldogs are now 5-2-3 on the season, while the Rivermen improve to 6-3-2. Truman is now unbeaten in their last five games and will host Upper Iowa on Sunday in Kirksville at 3:00 p.m.
