Three Bulldogs named Collegeswimming.com Swimmers of the Week

Truman seniors Sara Hatcher and Matt Pray, and junior Katie May were all named CollegeSwimming.com swimmers of the week for their performances at Washington University last weekend.

Hatcher won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.80, breaking the pool record and swimming under her previous A cut of 23.87 in that event. She has also already made the automatic cut for the NCAA Division II championships on three relay teams.

May won two individual events at WU, helping her team to 134-98 victory. She won the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:27.57) and 200-yard backstroke (2:09.79), both Division II "B" cuts.

Pray was a member on the winning 400-yard medley relay team (3:34.00) as well as the winner of the 50-yard freestyle (21.64) at the Washington University meet this past weekend. The Truman men defeated WU 131-98. Pray also won the 200-yard butterfly (30.16). He has already made the cut for the DII meet in the 100-yard butterfly (50.08) and as part of the 400-yard medley relay (3:23:98) team.

The Bulldogs are back in action next at home when they face perennial swimming powerhouse Drury University on Friday, Jan. 31 at 3 p.m.
