Kelli Dudley Named Collegeswimming.com Swimmer of the Week

CollegeSwimming.com announced its national swimmers of the week today and Truman senior Kelli Dudley (Topeka, Kan.) was one of three individuals in NCAA Division II to earn the distinction.

Dudley led the team to a convincing victory at the Central States meet by winning the 400-yard individual medley in an automatic qualifying time of 4:28.29, and the 200-yard backstroke in a pool and meet record and nation leading 2:02.77. She led off the Truman 400-yard medley relay that is ranked first in the nation with a school, meet and pool record of 56.62. Kelli also took second in the 200 IM, behind her teammate, with an automatic qualifying time of 2:07.87.

Dudley's 100 backstroke split of 56.62 set the pool and meet records and also bettered her own school record in that event.

Justin Whitaker of Delta State University and Kellie Winters of the State University of New York at Oswego comprised the other two DII selections.

The Bulldogs swimmers are now preparing for the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships March 12-15 in Grand Forks, N.D.
