Men's and Women's Swimming Pick Up Wins Against Washington University

In St. Louis on Friday night, the men's and women's swim teams picked up wins against Washington University. The women's final score was 134-98 while the men's was 131-98.

On the women's side, sophomore Diana Betsworth (East Moline, Ill./United Township), sophomore Sarah Dance (Lincoln, Neb./Southeast), and junior Katie May (Westmont, Ill./Hinsdale Central) all came up with two wins in individual events. Betsworth won the 400 individual medley in a 4:34.52 and the 500 freestyle with a 5:05.18. Sarah Dance picked up wins in the 200 freestyle (1:55.88) and the 100 freestyle (54.10). Katie May won the 1,000 freestyle (10:27.57) and the 200 backstroke (2:09.79).

For the men, senior Matt Pray (Naperville, Ill./Naperville North) and junior Robby Cooper (Holden, Mo./Holden) both won two individual events. Pray picked up wins in the 50 freestyle in a 21.64 and in the 200 butterfly with a 1:57.80. Cooper won the 200 freestyle (1:46.19) and the 500 freestyle (4:49.41).

Don't miss the Bulldogs in their last home dual on Friday, January 31 at 5:00 p.m. when they face off against Drury University. In addition to being a competitive dual, it will also be senior recognition night.
