Men's Tennis Team Results From Western Illinois Men's Singles Invitational

The Truman men's tennis team competed at the Western Illinois Men's Singles Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Ryan Cope was the only undefeated Bulldog with a record of 4-0 in the No. 5 spot. Four other 'Dogs went 4-1, including No. 2 Ben Smith, No. 3 Brad Martin, No. 4 Sean Cooper and No. 7 Steve Jones.

Tyler Wood was 3-2 in the No. 1 spot, while Niklas Stubbendorff was 2-3 in the sixth spot and Brett Taylor was 2-2 in the eighth and final spot.

Other teams competing at WIU were St. Ambrose (Iowa) and Quincy University (Ill.).

The men are 1-1 in duals and will compete in their final fall dual today when they travel to Fulton to take on Westminster College at 4 p.m. The Bulldogs complete the fall portion of their schedule this coming weekend at the ITA Regional Tournament in Topeka, Kan.
