Fall ITA Tennis Rankings Place Truman Among Top in Midwest Region
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association has released the WingspanBank.com Collegiate Tennis Rankings following the fall season.
In the NCAA Division II Midwest regional rankings, the Truman women were rated 16th, while the men's team came in 14th.
Senior Oleysa Paramonova (Almaty, Kazakhastan/Lenin's School #25) is ranked 20th in singles on the women's side. Paramonova posted a record in the fall of 8-1, and went 4-2 in double play.
Among the men, sophomore Justin Menolascino (Manchester, Mo./Chaminade) is rated 24th in Midwest singles rankings, while Menolascino and senior Nathan Artz (Kansas City, Mo./North Kansas City) are rated 18th in doubles play.
Menolascino finished the fall schedule with an 8-2 record at singles, and was 5-3 in doubles action with Artz.
The women's team was 4-1 through the fall portion of its schedule, while the men were 2-2 in duals. Both teams open the spring campaign at the Principia Tournament, the women on Feb. 16 and the men on Feb. 23.
