Women's Tennis Team Welcomes Jennifer Salmon Next Fall

Head coach Pete Kendall has announced that Jennifer Salmon (Cameron, Mo.) has signed an early national letter of intent to play tennis at Truman, beginning in the fall of 2004.

Salmon is a three-time district singles champion and a four-time Midland-Empire Conference singles title-holder. She has also qualified for the state championships four times in singles play, finishing fifth once and sixth twice at the state meet.

Salmon has posted a career singles record of 89-10 and has ranked among the top 20 individuals in the Missouri Valley section of the USTA's 18-and-under singles rankings.

"I think Jennifer is a great addition to our team," Kendall said. "She could contribute right away and will be a great fit at our University."
