Ben Smith Earns Men's Tennis Player of the Week Honors
MIAA Male Tennis Athlete of the Week: Ben Smith
Smith, a senior from Fort Collins, Colo., was 2-0 in No. 2 singles and 2-0 in No. 2 doubles with Sean Cooper as the Bulldogs posted a pair of wins last week.
He downed Aaron Enderlin of Central (Iowa), 7-6, 6-2, after getting an 8-2 win with Cooper in doubles, as Truman downed the Flying Dutchmen, 7-2, April 14.
Smith picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win over Emporia State's Clint Musgrove on Saturday (April 17), which followed an 8-4 doubles triumph as the Bulldogs picked up their first MIAA win of the season, 6-3.
Smith, now 14-9 in singles play on the season, is a graduate of Rocky Mountain High School.
