In a final dual before the ITA Regional Tournament in Maryville, Mo. this weekend, the Truman men's tennis team dropped a closely contest dual match with Colorado School of Mines by a 5-4 score.

The Bulldogs won two of the three doubles matches thanks to wins by the teams of Tyler Wood/Ryan Cope and Brad Martin/Sean Cooper.

In singles, however, Truman could only win two of the six matches. Three of the singles competitions went to three sets. Martin and Ryan Cope both were able to pull out third-set wins, but Brett Taylor lost the No. 5 singles match with a 7-6 margin in the final game.

Truman is now 2-1 during its fall season in dual play.

The ITA Regional starts on Friday and goes through Sunday.
