Truman Women Place Three In Top Five At Western Illinois Doubles Tournament

 

The Truman women's tennis team will be heading into the spring season on a high note after completing the fall season with a strong showing at the Western Illinois doubles tournament in Macomb over the weekend.

The Bulldogs senior duo of Melissa Dudak (Chicago, Ill./Nazareth Academy) and Abby Souders (Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount) took home first place honors going 3-0 over the weekend. The number three team of junior Kristine Grajo (Ballwin, Mo./Marquette) and sophomore Hannah Wittmer (Topeka, Kan./Washburn Rural) finished in fourth place.

The freshmen team of Jennifer Salmon (Cameron, Mo./Cameron) and Whitney Hamilton (Topeka, Kan./Washburn Rural) also had a strong showing, going 3-1 and placing fifth in the tournament.

Both men's and women's tennis head into conditioning until February when they will have the start of the spring conference and NCAA championship seasons.
