Tennis Teams Ranked Among Top 20 in Midwest Region

In the latest ITA regional rankings, the Truman women's tennis team is ranked 11th in the Midwest, while the Bulldog men are rated 18th.

The women completed the fall campaign with a 4-1 mark in dual meets and the men posted a dual record of 2-2 through fall action.

Both teams opened the spring season at the Principia (Ill.) College tournament the past two weekends.

The Bulldog teams will now head south for a spring break tour of Oklahoma and south Missouri where they will face top regional opponents. The women will have six duals during the week of March 5 and the men have five duals planned.

The women will face the No. 12 team in the region, Central Oklahoma, to begin the week, and then head to No. 15 Cameron (Okla.) the next day, followed by No. 4 Northeastern State (Okla.) on Wednesday. On Thursday, No. 19 Grand Valley State (Mich.) is on the agenda.

The Truman teams open at home on March 17 when they play host to Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association foe, Northwest Missouri State University. The NWMS women are ranked 20th in the Midwest, while the men are 16th.
