Results Of The MIAA Team Tournament

THE MATCH: The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Team Tournament was held this past weekend in St. Joseph, Mo. The Truman men's and women's teams competed against Washburn University, Emporia State, Southwest Baptist University, Northwest Missouri State, and combinations of the University of Missouri- Rolla/ Missouri Western and Missouri Southern/ MIAA All-Star men's team.

FORMAT: Each school had three men's and three women's singles teams competing, one men's and one women's doubles team, and one mixed doubles team. Each match was one set, and winning schools were determined by total number of games won.

TRUMAN: The Bulldogs came home from the tournament with 4 wins to 2 losses. They defeated Northwest 49-32, University of Missouri-Rolla/Mo. Western 52-14, Southwest Baptist 51-25, and Emporia State (Kan.) 54-18. The tennis team fell to Washburn (Kan) 45-35 and the combination of Missouri Southern/MIAA All-Star men 45-31. None of the matches played will count toward the players individual records.
