Women's Tennis Team Takes Third at MIAA Tournament

The Truman State University women's tennis team finished third at the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association tournament on Saturday. The Bulldogs scored 38 team points with the No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6 singles players bringing home second-place finishes, along with the No. 3 doubles team. The women placed second at the MIAA tourney last season.

Northwest Missouri won the conference tournament with 62 points, while Washburn was second with 49 points. Southwest Baptist scored 17, while Missouri Southern and Missouri Western had 16 points and Emporia scored eight.

The women are still on track to earn a bid to the NCAA Division II tournament and will find out on Thursday where and when they participate in the NCAA tournament.
