Matt Helbig Named MIAA Athlete of The Week
Matt Helbig was named the MIAA male track athlete of the week on Monday following his performance last weekend.
Helbig competed in the mile run at the Jayhawk Invitational and finished third overall. He finished the race in time was 4:11.90, a NCAA provisional mark, the first for Truman's men's track team this year. Helbig was the top Division II runner in the race, getting beat out by an athlete from Oklahoma State and an unattached runner.
