Truman's Results From NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships
Luebbering Earns All-America Honors

The Truman State University women's track and field team stood in a tie for 12th after the opening day of the NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships at Emporia State (Kan.) University.

Freshman Beth Luebbering (St. Thomas, Mo./Helias) highlighted the Bulldogs' action on Thursday, earning all-America honors in the 10,000-meter run. She turned in a time of 36.47.67 to take sixth place in the final that event.

Junior Dafros Mudyirwa (Westview Kadoma, Zimbabwe/Jameson) finished 10th in the long jump final with a leap of 5.56 meters, or 18 feet-3 inches.

The women's 4x100-meter relay squad finished fourth in its preliminary with a time of 47.01 seconds. However, the time wasn't enough to qualify the team for the final. Members of the Truman 4x100 squad include Mudyirwa, junior Molly Kandlbinder (Washington, Mo./St. Francis Borgia), junior SaTonya Carter (St. Louis/Pattonville) and freshman Jamille Curry (Chicago/Morgan Park).

In men's action, junior Keith Aumiller (Independence, Mo./William Chrisman) also missed qualifying for the final in the 400-meter hurdles. He finished sixth in his preliminary, charting a time of 54.05 seconds.

Tied with the Truman women's squad in team standings were Tarleton State (Texas) and East Stroudsburg (Pa.).
