The Truman men's track & field team finished with 97 points, including victories in three events, on Saturday to place fourth at the Lee Calhoun Memorial in Monmouth, Ill. The meet was co-hosted by Western Illinois University and Monmouth College.

Sophomore Matt Helbig (Fenton, Mo./Rockwood Summit) charted one of the Bulldogs' first-place finishes as he won the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:52.70 to earn an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark.

The other Truman victory was turned in by junior Dave Mayhew (Prior Lake, Minn./Academy of Holy Angels). Mayhew finished the 110-meter high hurdles in 14.99 seconds to take the top spot.

In addition to Dzingai's second-place finish in the 100, senior Ryan Easley (Elmer, Mo./LaPlata) came in second in the javelin with a toss of 186'-9". He was second by just two inches to the winning throw of 186'-11".
