Rachael Shedd Earns Another MIAA Player of The Week Honor
For the third time this season, Bulldog volleyball player Rachael Shedd has been named the Wilson/MIAA Volleyball Specialist of the Week. It is the fifth player of the week award given to a Bulldog volleyball player this year. Tiffany Graham and Jessica Sears have each been named the Wilson/MIAA Hitter of the Week once during the season.
Wilson/MIAA Volleyball Specialist of the Week: Rachael Shedd
Shedd, a 5-foot-10 senior from Omaha, Neb., averaged 13.50 assists and 3.30 digs as the Bulldogs clinched a berth in the MIAA Postseason Tournament with three wins last week.
In a 3-1 win at then-No. 19 Central Missouri State last Wednesday (Oct. 15), Shedd had 52 assists (13.00 apg), 17 digs (4.25 dpg), four kills, two block assists and a service ace.
She had 37 assists (12.33 apg) with eight digs (2.67 dpg), two aces and one block assist as Truman swept Emporia State Friday (Oct. 17). She popped up her 2000th career assist against the Lady Hornets.
Against then-No. 21 Washburn the next evening, Shedd had 46 assists (15.33 apg), eight digs (2.67 dpg) and three block assists.
She is a graduate of Westside High School.
