Truman Volleyball Extends Winning Streak to 14

The Bulldog Volleyball team completed a two-game sweep on the road this weekend as they defeated Missouri Western by a 3-0 count. Truman improves to a school-record 14-0 on the season and remain in first place in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association with a 5-0 mark.

Truman won games one and two by 30-24 scores, and the third game by a 30-17 tally. Leading the Bulldogs was senior Jessica Sears (Colchester, Ill./Colchester) with 13 kills for a .167 hitting percentage. Sophomore Kelsey Wackerman (Camdenton, Mo./Camdenton) placed second on the squad with eight kills and a team-high 13 defensive digs.

Truman heads back out on the road next weekend for a trio of MIAA games. After playing at Southwest Baptist on Thursday night, the team will take on Missouri Southern on Friday night in Joplin, then it is on to Pittsburg, Kan. for a conference showdown with the Gorillas.
