Truman Women's Basketball Signs Two Players For 2003-04

Truman women's basketball head coach John Sloop has announced that Megan Patti (Towanda, Ill./Normal Community High School) and Natalie Schupbach (Wyoming, Ill./Stark County High School) have signed National Letter of Intents to play for the Bulldogs next season.

Patti has been a starter since her freshman year at Normal Community High School and averaged 14.6 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists a game last year. The guard shot 41% from the field and 81.4% from the free throw line and had 34 three-pointers and 34 steals. As a sophomore, she averaged 13 points a game and sank 50 three-pointers.

Patti was named first-team all-conference and all-state special mention her sophomore and junior seasons. Last year, she was first-team all-area and was a second-team all-area selection as a sophomore. She was also a nominee for the Pantagraph Player of the Year award last season. Patti has also lettered for three years in softball and is a member of National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta.

Schupbach is another perimeter player who averaged 13 points, 10 rebounds and three assists a game last year for a Stark County team that went 26-4. She was named to the Lincoln Trail Conference first-team, the Stark County all-tournament team and was a Journal Star Class A all-star third-team pick. Shupbach also received team awards for best offensive player and most rebounds.
