Leah Zidon and Jennifer Tesmer Lead Truman at Regional Meet

The Truman women's cross country team saw its 2002 season come to an end following a fifth-place showing at the South Central Regional meet on Saturday in Warrensburg, Mo.

Pittsburg State and Central Missouri both advanced to the NCAA Championships after finishing first and second, respectively. Abilene Christian was third followed by Missouri Southern and Truman.

Leah Zidon turned in another good performance for the Bulldogs, finishing 14th overall. She ran the 6k course in a time of 23:50. Jennifer Tesmer was 16th overall after completing the race in 23:54. Pam Bird was 22nd overall with a time of 24:16 and was second among freshmen runners at the meet. Dani Rawlings was 30th with a time of 24:34 and Sarah Armstrong was 44th overall after a mark of 25:25. Kasye Hahn rounded out the Truman runners after coming in 62nd with a time of 26:25.
