Dani Rawlings Named MIAA Cross Country Athlete of the Week
Junior Dani Rawlings (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South) was named the MIAA female cross country athlete of the week today after her performance last weekend at the Augustana Open. Rawlings competed in the four-mile race and finished first out of the 36-person field. She crossed the finish line in a time of 24:38.
Rawlings is just one of two Bulldogs on the 2003 roster with more than two letters in cross country. Last season, she scored in every race for the Bulldogs by finishing fourth or better on the team. The women's cross country team will be in action again on Sept. 20 when they run in the Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo.
