Women's Cross Country Ties for Sixth at Border Wars
In the first competition in a couple of weeks, the Truman women's cross country team tied for 6th in the Border War Invitational at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville on Saturday. The Bulldogs had 191 points tied with DePauw (Ill.) University. Northern Michigan won the meet with a team score of 70 points. Truman finished behind other conference school in Missouri Southern (2nd), Central Missouri (3rd) and Pittsburg St. (Kan.) (4th.).
Senior Dani Rawlings was the top finisher for the Bulldogs in 24th place out of 254 runners. Rawlings had a time of 19:07.45 on the 5,000 meter course. Other Bulldog placers in the top 50 were sophomore Jacquie Faust (St. Louis, Mo./Cor Jesu Academy) in 26th, junior Sarah Armstrong (Metamora, Ill./Metamora) in 35th and junior Abbie Smith (Urbandale, Iowa/Dowling) in 42nd.
