Women's Cross Country Takes First Place At Miner Invitational
The Bulldog Women's Cross Country team earned is first team victory of the season as they won the Missouri-Rolla Miner Invitational on Saturday by 46 points. Truman had 33 team points, while their nearest competitor, Division I Drake University (Iowa) had 79 points.
The Bulldogs had five runners in the top 10, with sophomore Lauren White (Lee's Summit, Mo/Lee's Summit) placing second with a time of 18:44.4. The other Bulldogs in the top ten were senior Dani Rawlings (Fargo, N.D./South) in 6th, junior Abbie Smith (Urbandale, Iowa/Dowling) in 7th, junior Sarah Armstrong (Metamora, Ill./Metamora) in 8th and sophomore Jackie Faust (St. Louis, Mo./Cor Jesu Academy) in 10th.
Next up for the women's squad is a trip to Edwardsville, Ill. for the Border States Invitational on Oct. 9th.
