Women's Golf Team Host The Bulldog Classic This Friday and Saturday
The Truman women's golf team will begin its spring schedule on its home course, hosting the Bulldog Classic this Friday and Saturday at the Kirksville Country Club.
The first group will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Friday. Nine other teams will join the Bulldogs at the meet: Simpson (Iowa), Western Illinois, Central (Iowa), Lindenwood (Mo.), Quincy (Ill.), Wartburg (Iowa), William Woods (Mo.), Rockhurst (Mo.) and Missouri Western.
In the fall, Truman was led by Erin Fogarty (Houston, Texas) and Lauren Allen (Kirksville, Mo.). Fogarty averaged 83.9 strokes a round while Allen averaged 85.6. The Bulldogs won the Monmouth Invitational and Allen took medalist honors at that event with a one-round score of 79.
Following the Bulldog Classic, Truman will have three more meets during the spring. The team will be in Springfield, Mo. on Apr. 7-8 for the Payne Stewart Memorial Classic. On Apr. 18-19, the Bulldogs are at the Illini Classic and on Apr. 26-27 they travel to the John A. Logan Invitational.
