Women's Golf Team Defeats William Woods in Season-Opening Dual

In its first match of the fall season, the Truman State University women's golf team defeated William Woods (Mo.) on Friday at Timber Lakes Golf Course in Moberly, Mo. The Bulldogs won 334-356 over the Owls.

Truman was led by a pair of 82s turned in by junior Becky Costello (Liberty, Mo.) and senior Laura Potts (Quincy, Ill.). Freshman Erin Fogarty (Houston, Texas/St. Agnes Academy) carded an 84 and senior Chrissy Glover (Columbia, Mo./Hickman) finished with an 86. Two other Truman golfers, junior Betsy Driskill (Liberty, Mo.) and freshman T.J. Zipf (Geneva, Ill./Geneva Community) were unable to finish due to darkness.

This Saturday and Sunday, the Bulldogs will hold an intrasquad competition at the Kirksville Country Club.
