TRUMAN vs. MISSOURI SOUTHERN: The Bulldogs exploded on the net firing 33 shots in the game. Credit must be given to Moe Ybarra, Missouri Southern's goalkeeper, who made 12 saves. But the day belonged to the 'Dogs. Junior Melissa Miller (Olathe, Kan./Olathe South) assisted senior Niki Taylor (Crestwood, Mo./Lindbergh) to start the scoring off. In the second period junior Nicole Thorpe (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods) found Cepicky who then found the net. Sophomore Jessica Pohren (Omaha, Neb. Duchesne) served one up to Miller to put the game out of reach in the 64th minute. Huyck posted only two saves and the 'Dog defense allowed a mere two shots.

TRUMAN vs. MISSOURI-ROLLA: Truman's second game of the weekend moved a little slower than the first. Rolla muscled Truman with a strength of defense rarely seen by the Bulldogs. The first period wound down with a 0-0 tie. However, in the opening minutes of the second period, Pohren fired a shot at the UMR goalkeeper. The shot was blocked, but Cepicky was there blast the rebound into the net. Rolla had an opportunity to score, but Huyck came far out of the net grabbing an incredible save that could have pushed the game into overtime. Huyck posted four saves total.
