The Bulldogs moved up one spot in this week's NSCAA national poll, progressing to No. 21. The Bulldogs are now 24-1-1 all-time in conference games, the only loss coming to CMSU in the 2001 season finale and the tie against SBU last weekend.

The 'Dogs will kick off a five game home-stand on Oct. 16 against MIAA foe Northwest Missouri.

Truman vs. Southwest Baptist: In Bolivar last Saturday, all the scoring happened in the first period. The 'Dogs got off to a good start when Heather Murray put them in the lead on a free kick just over three minutes into the game. However, the Bearcats had an answer by the 13th minute and would take a 2-1 lead just over three minutes later. Stephanie Cepicky put one past goalie Chantal Cole on a penalty kick in the 27th minute for the equalizer. In the second period neither team was able to put a shot on goal, and after two overtime periods and 110 minutes the game would end in the Bulldogs first-ever MIAA tie.

Truman vs. Emporia: At Emporia, the 'Dogs came out strong as Wieman gave them the early lead when her shot came out of keeper Amanda Slatton's hands and landed in the goal, with an assist from sophomore Anna Sonderman (Manchester, Mo./Nerinx Hall). Minutes later Wieman would find the back of the net again from 30 yards out as Wieman put the ball over Slatton's head. At 11:03, Sara Murray would take the ball into the right corner on a breakaway and score with an assist from sophomore Ellen Wright (Kirkwood, Mo./Kirkwood) and Sonderman. Seven minutes later Heather Murray gave the ball to Sara Murray who buried it in the net. Emporia would try to come back by putting scoring once in the second half, but the 'Dogs would answered right away when McCarville got her first goal of the season with five minutes left in the game.
