Wright's Scores Overtime Goal To Lift Bulldogs To Victory

The second-ranked Truman Bulldogs escaped Warrensburg on Saturday with a 1-0 overtime win over Central Missouri State University. The Bulldogs are now 10-0-1 on the season and have a league-best 5-0-1 mark.

Senior Ellen Wright (Kirkwood, Mo./Kirkwood) scored an unassisted goal just one minute into the extra period to give the Bulldogs the win. It was Wright's seventh goal on the season. She has scored the last five goals for the Bulldogs dating back to Sept. 26th.

The Bulldogs outshot the Jennies by a 23-5 margin, with sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Davis (Springfield, Mo./Kickapoo) recording her eighth shutout of the season.

Truman will continue the two-game road trip with a stop in Maryville, Mo. to face Northwest Missouri State on Sunday.
