Bulldogs Continue Rolling On Road With Victory
The #8 ranked Truman Bulldogs used a 15 minute span around halftime to score four goals and defeat Minnesota State-Mankato by a 4-2 margin. It was the Bulldogs fourth victory of the year as they remained undefeated on the season with a 4-0-1 record.
Senior Sara Murray continued her offensive attack scoring the first two goals of the game to give her 51 in her career in the Truman uniform. Murray also assisted on the Bulldogs final goal in that 15 minute span as she sent senior Ellen Wright in on a breakaway to give Truman a 4-0 lead. Stephanie Cepicky scored her first goal of the season, which proved to be the game winner as the Mavericks scored two late goals to pull within two.
Truman is off to one of their best starts in school history remaining undefeated in their first five games. The Bulldogs will head to Missouri-Rolla to play on Friday night before coming home to play Washburn on Sunday in Kirksville.
