The second-ranked Truman women's soccer team recorded its fifth straight shutout as the Bulldogs defeated Northwest Missouri on Sunday by a 4-0 score.

Lauren Davis picked up her ninth shutout of the season after being tested more than usual. She ended the game with seven saves, six of them coming in the final period. Davis and the Bulldogs have now not allowed a goal in almost 528 minutes of action.

The offense came from many different sources but was led by Anna Sonderman who scored a goal and had two assists. Her first assists came on the game-winner as Ellen Wright scored in the 13th minute of action. Truman added one more tally in the half when Sonderman scored on a header off a corner kick by Sara Murray.

Truman put the game away early in the second-half when Lauren Cepicky scored in the 51st minute and Molly Benson tallied one in the 55th minute. Cepicky scored off an assist from Murray after Murray's shot had been blocked by the defense. Benson's goal came off the final assist by Sonderman.

The victory improved the Bulldogs to 11-0-1 on the year and 6-0-1 in the MIAA. The team is in action again next Saturday in a key MIAA game against Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Mo. The Lady Bearcats are currently undefeated in MIAA play and are ranked 22nd in the latest national poll.
