The Truman women's soccer stepped out of conference play on Sunday to face central region opponent, Rockhurst (Mo.) at the Truman Soccer Park. The Bulldogs used a first half goal by Truman's all-time leading scorer Sara Murray (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) en route to the 2-0 victory. The second ranked Bulldogs improved to 12-0-2 on the season.

For Murray, it was her second goal on the weekend, her 12th of the season and 56th in her four year career wearing the Truman uniform. Her goal was set up on a long pass from fellow senior Anna Sonderman (Manchester, Mo./Nerinx Hall).

Four minutes into the second half the Bulldogs added an insurance goal with junior Lauren Cepicky (St. Louis, Mo./Lindbergh ) taking a pass from Murray and beating the Rockhurst goalkeeper Chelsea Barnett on her left side. It was Cepicky's second goal of the season, while Murray's team-leading eighth assist.

Bulldog sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Davis improved with her 10th shutout of the season and 23rd in her career with four saves on only six shots by the Hawks. After this weekend's action, Davis is now fifth all-time in games played in the Truman nets with 42. The record is held by Jenny Miller with 76 games in goal in 1995-98.

Truman will play four of their last six games at the Truman Soccer Park, including a game against Missouri-Rolla on Sunday to wrap up the Homecoming week festivities. Game time next Sunday is 2:00 p.m.
